Bernabé Arévalo (Guatemala City, 1980.)
Guatemalan visual artist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was part of the Artists Program at Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT). He studied at the National University of Art (UNA) in Buenos Aires. In 2013, he received the Haroldo Conti Grant from the National Arts Fund (FNA). He has participated in workshops and critiques with Carlos Bissolino, Diana Aisenberg and Evelyn Benjeskow. In 2019, he held his first solo exhibition, Plutón, at Observatorio Atelier (La Boca, Buenos Aires), and in 2022, he presented his second solo exhibition, Dónde lloran los valientes, with guest artists, at MUNAR (La Boca, Buenos Aires). He participates and has participated in various group exhibitions, including Latinoargentina at PROA21 (2024). LXII National Salon of Rosario, Castagnino Museum-M.A.C.R.O., Museum of Contemporary Art of Rosario, Santa Fe (2015); The Discreet Charm at the Museum of Modern Art of Costa Rica (2019). In 2018, she participated in the XXI Paiz Biennial, curated by Gerardo Mosquera. She has participated in various residencies, such as the CURADORA residency (Rosario, Santa Fe) in 2015, and the Central American Residency Program in 2017.
